elcome new readers! Covid-19 has been a trying time in our lives and society. It's been the single thing that has propelled people to embrace technology and remote working well ahead of what tech analysts such as myself thought possible. I believe our new reality can bring sweeping change. Imagine someone with an average commute of between 1-2 hours a day. Working from home has given back the average person somewhere between 260-520 hours, approximately 11-22 entire days. This reclaimed time can be spent with family, at home cooking dinner, and can make a big difference in our lives. Think about the carbon emissions saved by those people not needlessly stuck on busy roads. At davesimmons.io studio, we've embraced remote work from home policies for numerous years. We strive to be a successful model to our clients and others. It's one small piece that we hope will help put a dent in the global warming crisis!
The creation of "Talk + Tech + Tips +" or〔T³+〕/T-three-plus/ for short, has been under planning and development over the last year. Originally the idea was to focus strictly on tech-related articles. Shortly after planning started, we had a realization while researching various topics to write about. To be different, we would need to offer something more than a simple rinse and repeat format seen in other tech blogs. We also felt a need for more than tech-related subjects. As our new blog grows, so will our category tags. As a sneak peek, we have categories planned that will touch on all of the following:
AI, Art, Books, Cars, Code, Design, Earth, Food, Fun, Games, Level Up, Life, News, Recipes, Science, Simplify, Space, and more!
As a different approach, we've decided the most important thing is to break down complex, technical ideas into digestible and easy-to-consume articles. We also want to sprinkle about some real-to-life pieces that you might find entertaining. Sometimes we need to push technology aside for a moment or two and return to real life for a little bit of fun away from computers, tablets, phones, and other devices.
We'll be writing an ongoing and easy-to-consume series covering analytics, starting with "Google Analytics." We hope to guide readers through the complex world of analytics one step at a time. We'll also revisit this topic down the road as things evolve and change. We've also planned an upcoming piece looking in-depth at the new "Superhuman" email platform. We hear it's revolutionary, and we can't wait to share what we learn! Oh, and did I mention we love breakfast? Somewhere in between, we'll even be writing fun pieces like a cooking article all about eggs! In the meantime, please enjoy this video of Gordon Ramsay's "Perfect Scrambled Eggs" to learn something easy and new about cooking eggs:
In short, we hope you'll find us an excellent and reliable content source as we cover all things technical that impact your life or your business. Check back often as our creative team of experts may just delight and surprise you! We think this is the start of something great and we hope you'll absolutely love it!
